The Nitecore UT6 is a high-performance trail running headlamp built for technical terrain, fast descents, and overnight adventures, pumping out up to 1,600 lumens with a maximum beam distance of 195 metres.

At just 4.59 oz, its lightweight, tough magnesium alloy body is born for the trails and long-distance without compromising the durability that demanding outdoor conditions require.

Featuring MCT (Multiple Colour Temperatures) lighting system it offers three dedicated buttons giving instant access to warm, neutral, and cool white light, so you can adapt to shifting trail conditions, weather, and visibility on the fly — and crucially, full output and throw are maintained across all three colour temperatures.

Two distinct operating modes let you tailor performance to your race strategy.

Long Runtime Mode squeezes every last hour from the 4,000mAh rechargeable battery — up to 31 hours at low.

High Performance Mode keeps brightness elevated for technical terrain or higher running speeds where visibility and confidence matter most.

The innovative Rapid Reel™ headband allows fast one-handed fit adjustments on the move, while IP68 waterproofing and 2-metre impact resistance mean the UT6 is built to perform from the start line to the finish.

The UT6 features a quick-release bracket for stable wear. Its head tilts up to 45 degrees with quick, one-handed adjustment.

The UT6's MCT System

The UT6 uses Nitecore's MCT (Multiple Color Temperatures) technology, allowing you to instantly switch between warm, neutral, and cool light to adapt to changing trail, weather, and visibility conditions. Three dedicated buttons give direct access to each colour temperature without cycling through menus — making adjustments fast and intuitive on the move.

The three temperatures are:

3000K — Warm White

This is the lowest colour temperature, producing a yellowish, amber-tinted light. The 3000K warm light penetrates fog, rain, and snowy conditions outdoors. It does the best job of penetrating fog and rain and minimises glare when crossing snow — so in challenging weather conditions, warm white is your friend. It's also the easiest on your eyes for prolonged use at night.

Best for: running or hiking in rain, fog, mist, or snow; low-stress night vision preservation; situations where glare from precipitation is an issue.


4500K — Neutral White

This is the middle ground, producing a clean, natural-looking white light. Neutral white (4500K) is the most common colour temperature found on headlamps and offers a more natural light for everyday activities. It provides clarity on steep slopes, streams, and muddy terrain.

Best for: most trail running and hiking in normal conditions, reading a map, navigating technical terrain — essentially your default all-rounder setting.

6500K — Cool White

This is the highest colour temperature, with a crisp, slightly blue-tinted light. The 6500K cool white light is bright, helping to maintain alertness and motivation during fatigue. The cool white setting is great for maximising visibility and contrast and minimising eye strain when doing tasks that require attention to detail at night — Nitecore likens it to the noonday sun. It delivers maximum brightness and contrast during camping or urban night running.

Best for: fast-paced running on clear nights, urban environments, technical trail sections where maximum contrast and detail matter, or when you need a mental boost during a long effort.
