The Nitecore MT22A is a compact torch that runs on two AA batteries in side by side configuration, making it a perfect everyday carry light for home and travel. Compatible with alkaline and NiMH rechargeable cells. Operated by a single side switch, when the light is turned on a half press cycles through high-mid-low-strobe.

Featuring  a polycarbonate body, which is incredibly strong yet lightweight with a die-cast head for rapid heat dissipation. The torch weighs in at only 49 grams and measures just 8.1cm long. The ergonomic design makes for comfortable one-handed operation and sits nicely in the palm of the hand. Anti-slip knurling ensures a good grip even when wearing gloves.

The MT22A has a Cree XP-G2 (S3) LED with a maximum brightness of 260 lumens and a range of up to 98 meters. Three brightness levels are selected by pressing the switch half way:

Brightness and Runtimes:

• High: 260 Lumens - 2 hour 15 minutes
• Medium: 45 Lumens - 18 hours
• Low: 1 Lumen - 180 hours
• Strobe

Advanced Temperature Regulation (ATR) adjusts the output of the MT22A based on the working and ambient temperatures. This feature ensures that the device maintains optimal performance while preventing the LED from overheating. The output measurements account for the total runtime, including periods of reduced brightness due to temperature changes or built-in protection mechanisms, which may cause the brightness level to drop.

Other features include a removable titanium-coated stainless steel pocket clip and reverse polarity protection to prevent damage from inserting the batteries the wrong way around. The MT22A also utilises a high efficiency constant circuit, which provides constant illumination without flickering. In other words no PWM :)

Available in carbon black, sandy brown or fluorescent yellow. Select colour required from the drop down menu.

Waterproof to IPX8 (2 meter submersible) and impact resistant to drops from 1.5 meters.

Operation intructions:

Turning On / Off:

Switch on: Press the button on the tail cap until a click is heard.

Switch off: Press the button on the tail cap a second time until a click is heard

Mode Switching:

With the light turned on, press the switch halfway down to cycle through 'high-mid-low-strobe'.
Default mode: Two seconds after the light is turned off, the MT22A will turn on again in high mode.

Overheat Protection:

After 10 minutes of using high brightness the torch will lower its output automatically to prevent overheating and extend the working life of the batteries.
