The Nitecore LA10 mini camping lantern is a rather unique product and sure to be a firm favourite with anyone who requires a wide area light in the smallest possible package. Nitecore have achieved this by making the diffuser part of the light retractable, so when not in use it measures just 7.6cm long. Despite its small size, the LA10 is capable of lighting an area 10 meters in diameter!

Featuring a Cree XP-G2 S3 LED with a maximum output of 135 lumens, the Nitecore LA10 is powered by a single AA battery making it cheap to run and ideal for taking on overseas travels.  It also makes a useful backup light for emergency use to keep in the house, car, caravan, boat or anywhere else you would not like to be left in the dark.

Operating the Nitecore LA10 is a simple affair; turning the centre section of the body extends and retracts the diffuser and the end caps operates on/off and brightness levels:

• High: 135 lumens - 1 hr 30 minutes runtime
• Medium: 40 lumens - 6 hours runtime
• Lowest: 10 lumens - 23 hours runtime
• Beacon Mode: 135 Lumens

Made from a sturdy aluminium alloy, the LA10 is robust and hard wearing, but at under 43g (excluding battery) it is lightweight and very easy to carry.

A magnetic tail cap allows for attachment to metal surfaces such as under car bonnets, and there is also a lanyard should you wish to hang the LA10.

Maximum beam diameter 10 meters, water resistant to IPX-6 and resistant to impacts up to 1.5 meters.
