The Fenix PD36R V2 offers an extra 100 lumens compared to the V1 predecessor and an improved beam distance up to 396 meters. The V2 has a new 5 lumen eco mode with a non-stop runtime of up to 20 days.

The PD36R V2 has a maximum output of 1700 lumens and is powered by 1 x Fenix ARB-21-5000 V2 battery. With 18W charging the USB-C fully charges the torch from empty in just 2.5 hours. The USB-C socket is fitted with inner waterproofing which protects the light down to a depth of 2 meters even with the charge port cover removed.

The torch is operated by a dual switch and has a tail switch which controls momentary and constant on/off functions. The neck mounted mode button controls the brightness selection and strobe mode. The mode button features built-in red and green LEDs which indicates charging/charged status and battery levels. The torch also features mode memory which remembers the last used output level when you switch the light on.

The PD36R V2 has a IP68 rating and is constructed by a aircraft grade aluminium.

Switches:

There is a tactical switch on the tail end and the side switch is the functional switch.

On/Off:

Gently press the tactical switch to momentarily turn on the flashlight, release it and the light will go out.
Fully press the tactical switch to constantly turn on the light, click again to turn off the light.

Mode Switching:

With the light switched on, single click the functional switch to cycle through Turbo→Eco→Low→Med→High.

Strobe:

With the light switched on, press and hold the functional switch for 0.5 seconds to enter strobe, click again to return to General mode.

Intelligent Memory Circuit:

The light memorises the last light output level used (excluding strobe). When turned on again the previously used output will be recalled.
