The Fenix HL45R multi-purpose, focusable headlamp has a maximum output of 1000 lumens with a beam distance of up to 220 meters from the Luminus SFT25R cool white LED and 1x OSRAM GR QSSPA1.23 red LED. The head torch is powered by an included 1900mAh rechargeable battery with a built in USB-C charging port or alternatively 3 x AAA batteries (not included).

The headlamp is operated by a rotary switch and electronic push button, switching between the white and red light sources for simple, intuitive operation. The HL45R also features a focusing ring mechanism, allowing for easy adjustment of the beam between the spotlight and floodlight. Additionally, a gesture sensing function allows the headlamp to be rapidly turned on or off by simply waving your hand within 10cm of the lamp.

Advanced Temperature Regulation (ATR) adjusts the output of the HL45R based on the working and ambient temperatures. This feature ensures that the device maintains optimal performance while preventing the LED from overheating. The output measurements account for the total runtime, including periods of reduced brightness due to temperature changes or built-in protection mechanisms, which may cause the brightness level to drop.
