17/11/2016Especially if you already have 18650 batteries and chargers for lights this is a great choice, it is compact and produces a wide, pleasantly warm area of light. In practice the set levels are just right for me, 12 a useful low, and 85 adequate for most purposes, and the 205 when need more clarity or in a larger area. Looking at photos. the body colours remind me a bit of cheapo products from yesteryear, but in reality it is a solidly made quality product. Red/flash red modes are a small bonus.
Description
The Nitecore LR30 is a cleverly designed light featuring white and secondary red light, allowing for useage in a variety of applications. The compact torch has a maximum output of 205 lumens from the High CRI LED and can be powered by 2 x single use CR123 batteries or 1 x rechargeable Li-ion 18650 battery.
Featuring a single button user interface, the LR30 can be operated using only one hand. Hold the button for 0.6 second to turn white light on and press to cycle through low, mid and high brightness levels. To access the red light, double press the switch and single click to cycle through red flashing, SOS and red illumination.
The high performance LEDs have a high colour rendering index (CRI), making the white light perfect for restoring objects in their original colours. The red light protects night vision, making it ideal for wildlife observation, astronomy and night photography.
The Nitecore lantern has two attachment options; offering a magnetic base and a lanyard to suspend the light.
Available in Sand Yellow, Jungle Green or Ocean Blue.
